Life without a body is in many ways similar to life in the body.
There is a constant battle between good and evil. Evil is constantly seeking ways to hurt and pressure good and limbo spirits to join them in darkness.
Evil spirits (person) attack and fight offensively; where good spirits (person) will only fight defensively.
Evil will seek out spirits who are alone and vulnerable, and forcibly abduct them, imprisoning them within darkness. There they are tortured by both pain and mental torment. Many spirits break under this type of pressure, but the ones who don't are released (after a 2 or 3 week period, physical world time) because evil spirits get bored quickly.
Evil do hurt their captives very severely, one of the first areas they will hurt and maim a spirit (person) is to try and prevent them using and developing their gifts. E.g. to remove the hand of a spirit so they cannot play a musical instrument.
Children are a particular target by evil, they will attack and hurt the most vulnerable, cowardice is one of the qualities of evil and their master, Satan.
The attacks on other spirits are mostly done, by large numbers of spirits, so that the victim is quickly overcome and taken off to darkness for their pleasure. Huge numbers of evil spirits can capture and imprison large numbers of good spirits simultaneously.
Particular good spirits are often targeted merely because "they love" someone. If Satan has decided that he hates a particular person, then he will instruct (and sometimes join in) his loyal followers to attack the loved ones of that person. The person whom Satan hates may be a spirit or a spirit in a physical life. The most vulnerable are spirits in between lives.
A high level spirit, because of their power is more difficult to overcome, it would take a huge number of ordinary evil spirits just to subdue one high level good spirit.
All good spirits are constantly having to watch their back, to avoid a sudden attack. Limbo spirits are also constant targets, however while they are co-operating with evil, by doing evil's dirty work for them, they get a temporary reprieve from attack.
Limbo are never safe, just the same as evil spirits are just as likely to be attacked by other more powerful evil spirits as well as their leader (Satan) to whom they are so loyal and faithful. Attacking their own is just as fulfilling for evil, everytime they hurt someone else, they see this as pleasure.
Evil's attacks on the physical world:
Evil are constantly using subtle manipulation of people, mainly through suggested ideas, and sharing information which is known to the non physical world, such as the future, people's thoughts and ideas. This gives the person being manipulated an advantage at the time.
Evil gives many people information to increase their power and wealth, as well as fulfill some of their desires. But all this comes at a price; evil "never give for free". There is always a price, and evil always try to collect:
may require huge suffering, such as loss of dignity, bankruptcy and loss of power.
Wealth -
may be repaid by loneliness and poverty.
Knowledge of others personal life -
may require being a victim of the same system they were a part of.
Power to judge others -
is almost certain to be a victim of the judicial system themselves or some other humiliation.
Knowledge that you are special to Satan himself -
the privilege of being Satan's personal helper comes at a great price - being tortured by Satan himself, for his personal pleasure of someone so loyal.
Every deed by evil has its price -
the ultimate desires of evil is to end a person's life or to judge and punish the person (Injustice is more fulfilling). This also fulfils the other purpose of evil, that being to manipulate people to do the opposite to what The Light knows to be best for the person and the world, that includes forcibly changing The Light's plans.
The person carrying out the evil for evil spirits, eventually will also become their target. Every person, particularly those loyal to evil are also a victim of the pleasure of evil spirits. Those given power and/or position by evil are always a major target, as getting a payback gives great pleasure to evil spirits.
