You cannot be a spiritual person without being an environmentalist.
Evil spirits work very hard at influencing the destruction of the environment, they are constantly suggesting or reinforcing peoples own greed and laziness, so as to cause the maximum destruction they can.
Often environmental groups are being the mouth piece for God and good spirits in order to slow and stop the destruction.
No-body can know the 'Ultimate Spirit' through their spiritual faith if they don't appreciate and respect the ecology of the world around all of us.
To walk into a virgin bush or forest and be able to recognize many of the thousands of life forms in the immediate vicinity and the balance between them is a beauty to be enjoyed.
Humans are the supreme life of all life on earth, with the responsibility to respect and maintain it. Man has the power to destroy any species, through greed and abuse of that power, thousands of species (including 80 species of mammals in just the last 500 years) have become extinct due to man's actions.
Industrial degradation has destroyed vast areas of the environment, not only resulting in the extinction of species, but also the suffering of man, animal and plants within and near the destructive source. Man does have the technology to almost eliminate this degradation.
Governments today are failing the next generation by encouraging the exploitation of the earth's resources by a few greedy wealthy people.
Recycling is done on a 'profit for today' basis rather than a cost set against the 'cost of tomorrow'. There is little need for rubbish tips, in a community where items normally thrown away are reproduced into a second resource. Many new jobs could be created by people separating different products for recycling.
Items do not need to be used in the local community, e.g. excess paper can be made into compressed paper blocks and exported to countries where there is no fuel available for cooking and warmth.
Land which has been destroyed by over irrigation, can be reclaimed by planting vegetation (trees) which are resistant to the salt or just to lower the water table, the trees would also assist consuming much of the carbons produced by industry.
In some areas the establishment of local salt production has helped to rapidly overcome the salt problem, and see the land return to high yield farming in a very short time.
Nature and the environment is a reflection of 'God', just as man is also a reflection of 'God' but in a different way.
Nature reflects the planning and awesome power of God through: volcanoes, tornadoes, cyclones, floods, droughts and even the energy from the sun. All life shows the perfection in planning and provision of all needs in the food chain of nature.
Man reflects the 'ultimate' compassion, communication, feelings and love of 'God'.
To know 'God' we all need to take time to walk and appreciate the life and beauty in the sea, on land and in the air and skies.
We need to realize that 'God' is not in heaven, but he is in all life and in all of his creation. 'God's' cathedral is in nature - 'God' seldom if ever goes inside a church or cathedral which men have built to edify themselves.
There is more than enough capacity within our world to produce enough food for several times the present population. The reforesting of desert and baron wasteland and through thoughtful well planned agricultural development. Yes it will take time to develop - just as it took time to destroy.
Man appears to have very limited skills, a man will rape the environment to build his bank balance to provide for his children; but fail to realize he is not leaving them the natural resources they need to survive.
People need to find a balance with nature just the same as they need to find an equilibrium rather than a desired bias in the rights they demand.
'God' has chosen the best for us, in the food resources he provided, fresh, healthy, etc. He has put life on all the 10 planets in our solar system. Pluto has the highest number of life forms.
Man has contaminated the food resources by trying to develop plants which are more profitable and appealing to the customer rather than good and healthy.
Man has the knowledge to develop more intensive farming, particularly in the area of fisheries, and other natural resources of food which 'God' provided for us.
'God' also provided the financial resources to feed those in our communities and other countries who do not have the financial resources to purchase food and medicine for themselves but this money has been stolen by the cathedral builders, who have been using 'God's' money to pay themselves and to build empires.
Everyone who works for the 'Lord God' is to be a volunteer and every dollar given to 'God' is to go to the poor. This would amount to 100's Trillion in $US each year, more than enough to provide the needs of the poor, worldwide.
While greed controls all levels of our society, there will be poor, poverty and raping of the earth's resources. Governments raise taxes and demand more so they can justify more for themselves and to further their careers. This greed has polluted our whole society and is destroying our environment.
There is only one 'God', the one who provided for all our needs so perfectly. If we want to know him - then we need to respect what he has provided.
All destruction of the environment is pleasing evil very much:
Evil are constantly making suggestions to people to destroy the environment in order to increase their bank balance and power.
Evil also give suggestions in many trivial areas as well:
Greed and selfishness are the most common evils which damage the environment.
