Akhenaten - The Sungod

His name
This is how Akhenaten wrote his name in heiroglyphs. It was used to inscibed his statues and his scrolls. His art was curvature, rather than on the square linear forms like the other Pharaoh before and after him. Akhenaten is believed to be related to the famous TutanKhamun, whose real name was TutanKhaten, directly linking him to the Aten loving Pharaoh Akhenaten!

The Aten
Akhenaten was the first monotheist in written history. He believed in the Aten, the solar disc and that Aten was the only god. He was considered a heretic since everyone else in Egypt was polythiestic. During his reign he moved the capitol of Egypt to Akitaten, which is now called Tell-el Armarna. He had several daughters and was married to Nefertiti.

Origin?
Since Akhenaten was so much different than anyone else, many have believed him to have been an alien. Much of Egyptian history is flooded with references to aliens and off-world lifestyles. After his reign as Pharaoh, the old art and religions were restored as if he was never there. His mummy was never found and some people believe he may still be out there....
