I have a theory. The vampiric entities of the astral
plain and the mortal vampires which exist on the
physical plain share a few unique characteristics.
What if there are two kinds of vampires on the
physical plain. Mortal vamires and then the next step
in the transformation. What if, in some way, sometime
in the distant past, etherial vampires found a way to
merge with phisical vampires creating a sort of hybrid
vampire who can is either immortal or just ages slowly
and has extreem regenerative qualities. I have always
theorized that blood has at least a link to the "soul"
or spirit which is itself a part of the etherial
plain. And just suppose that through the ingestion of
blood which is linked to the hybrid etherial/phisical
vampire the doorway opens so that another etherial
vampire can merge with a phisical vampire thereby
creating, once again, the hybrid. Mind you, blood is
not necessarily the door, it is only a supposition.
This transformation enhances the host body. I could
site instances in my own life that this theory would
explain, but not yet. Not until I know if you think me
insane.
My theory would not only explain certain events that
have happened to me but also certain things about
vampires in the past.
Imagine this. The etherial vampire, while strong,
cannot dominate the personality of its mortal host, so
it merges with the host. now imagine what would happen
if, during the process of allowing the etherial vamire
in, the host dies but the entity still arrives,
perhaps it would then have a body all its own, but
having never had a body like ours, it cannot really
control itself and so we get the revenant. What
happened to me is simple. I should be dead. I was
shot, in the chest at close range. It stopped bleeding
in moments and was completely healed in a matter of
hours. Now. A supposition. Suppose that one is
"possessed" of an etherial vampire and has become a
hybrid. The etherial vampire, while it cannot control
the host on a mental level, it causes changes and
urges which allow for the new life to begin. To
protect its host it clows ageing and speeds
regeneration. It enhances strength speed and
endurence. Not to mention mental abilities. but the
host is very much alive. The question is, how would
the door be opened to allow such a being to enter the body?

A variant of the Nephilim theory/legend - interesting. Only time will tell.

Insane, who isn't?
But honestly, he may have a point. Lots of legends
speculate that the blood of a person opens some doors.
For instance the the basis of the movie Instinct is
about a guy who eats parts of his victim's body to
gain their power/soul/whatever. It could also explain
a couple things I've been (lanquidly) observing
lately.
