Imagination and Intuition
The reason why I am starting this discussion of exorcism under the topic of "Imagination and Intuition", is that many people are led to believe that all this ghost stuff is nonsense, figments of ones imagination, make believe, and so on.... this is just not true.

"Imagination" as it comes to you in images, or "Intuition" as it comes to you in feelings,  is the subconscious minds way of interpreting and communicating to you something happening in your subjective world that doesn't fit the conventional knowledge base nor make any outward sense.
Imagination is like your minds computer monitor showing you what programs are running in your physical mental emotional energetic spiritual universe.
Intuition - just like the canary in the coal mind - is your early warning signal from spirit telling you to
PAY ATTENTION... something important and real is going on here.

Unfortunately, many of us as children (and even now as adults) have been dis-encouraged or ridiculed when we have expressed these "figments of our imagination"... and from neglect and ignore-ance, this ability (and our feelings) have been shut down. Yet this does not eliminate the dangers (as if "out of sight out of mind" ever was a sane coping strategy).. it only makes it so that we cannot avoid them nor be prepared to deal with them when they come (if you live with blinders on when you are driving a car, you are sure to get in an accident). If one chooses to live without benefit of an imagination, one is eliminating an important sense... the 6th sense if you will... and who in their right mind would chose to eliminate their ability to see, taste, smell, hear, feel.. or imagine... all these senses contribute to heightening ones life. These are gifts from Spirit so that we may experience life fully, as well as be empowered to more safely and effectively maneuver through life's obstacles and challenges.
With all that said, on to the show.......

  Astral Body
Our High Self projected a part of its consciousness and energy into the lower astral dimensions, creating an aspect of itself called our psychic or "astral self", taking on the form of an "astral body". This astral body was primarily designed as a way to transform or step down the higher vibrations and consciousness of the higher planes, so that the higher dimensional self could experience itself in another, albeit denser form of reality. This astral self/body existed (for an indeterminate time) on the higher astral dimensions above this physical world, living within this "Magical" (Fairy Tale) dream world. 
At some point, the Astral Self (in conjunction with the Higher Self) decided to incarnate upon an even denser reality > this earth plane.... Upon incarnation, our astral self dropped into a neutral, blank host body, one pretty much devoid of any consciousness of its own (except for imprints of its biological parents). The Astral Self then moved right in to its new home, imbuing, imprinting, or overlaying the host body with its own consciousness and energies. Over time, the astral being became oriented in its new environment and began to learn how to function within a physical body.
When the physical body is asleep, dormant or dead, our astral self is  free to travel outside the confines of its physical or "host" body. Thus, being liberated from all the oppressive laws and controlling norms of this world, it may go any place and do any thing as it wills. Since the astral self is our true psychic self (below the facade of our acculturated personality) once so liberated, it can then freely exhibit itself and demonstrate its nature (benevolent, malevolent, saintly or satanic) upon an unwitting world. 

Those people who have been permanently separated from their physical bodies (died), if their astral beings are still attached to the phenomena of this physical dimension, they are held back from ascending into the higher realms (i.e. merging back into their higher self). And here on this earth they remain, trapped on the lower astral levels in astral form (or until there is some higher spiritual intervention). 

Our astral selves have learned to function on and affect the physical dimension thru our respective physical bodies, but if imbued with enough psychic power and desire, that same ability can be projected out into the physical universe, expressing itself in abilities such as telekinesis, but also in consciousness forms known as ghosts, poltergeists, and possessing spirits Beings who have died and are trapped upon this planet make up a preponderance of these cases, but  it is not exclusively so. In many cases, some entities that purportedly are haunting a place or tormenting a person, may be physically incarnated beings, projecting (consciously or un-consciously) their astral self to that place or person. As a point of interest, it is also possible to have more than one astral body "project" from or "splinter" off of its designated "Primary" Astral Self - these aspects (or "split offs") may be called "The Shadow Self". In these cases, either these projected selves must be reabsorbed back into the Primary Astral Self (a healing process called "Soul Retrieval"), or it must be dissipated into the light.

If ones astral body is pure, it can be quite radiant, clearly channeling or reflecting the light from its higher self.
If the astral body has been enervated or depleted, it can appear very dim. These "dim" entities become "attracted" to those who are pure because they see their light and feel the energy, being transformed or uplifted by its glow (like moths to a flame).
If the astral body (and self) has been corrupted and is evil, it can radiate a dark light (attracting other dark lights to it), as well as trying to hook into and suck the life and psychic energy off of others (precisely like vampires).

Astral Spirit Guides
 The common misconception of beings in spirit is that they are all good. Just because they are in spirit form does not mean that they are without ego or free from a personal agenda (especially if they are astral beings). There are of course many good spirits functioning on the astral planes (and on this dimension as well), as long as they are connected to and directed by their Higher Selves (there is a chain of command - so to speak - from the top dimensions on down. see Ascension). Since astral beings have a limited perspective and awareness of life only at the level of the astral dimension, it behooves them (and us) to be connected to their own Higher Selves. What is most often the case with many of these lower level "astral" spirit guides who are in your space (supposedly to serve your "highest and best good") is that they are not connected to the guidance and wisdom of the Higher Self residing in the higher dimensions.... Sooo, to them,  what is in your "highest and best good" is open for interpretation, usually biased towards what they perceive as their best interests, and yours secondary (if at all). These are the beings that are... not only feeding off your light or life force, but are influencing yours by telepathically sending you subconscious /subliminal messages on what to think, feel and do... thus keeping you trapped in their control... it can be quite insidious. It is no wonder that many of these beings (usually connected to you thru karma) attempt to interfere with - and stop - my working with you.

One goal in the healings is to remove any (astral-spirit) interference and (vibrational-energetic) distortions within your space, thus empowering you with a greater clarity... that you may be able to tune into and access a higher source or level of consciousness than you are currently doing. You will still have spirit guides... but as a benefit of doing the healings, you will attract those Spirits who are more highly evolved and powerful (instead of the lower astral entities that most people work with).

Implants
Due to the fact that we exist on many different dimensions, having a number of different bodies, it is more than possible that we are being influenced by these dimensions and the beings that dwell in them... more than we realize. How could this occur ? If there is a break or lack of integrity in our energy field.. or higher still within our consciousness, an outside force or entity is able to enter our space, and either stay in it (not a very pretty prospect but more common than you think) or leave something inside. This thing is called an "Implant".

An Implant is something that usually exists on the astral dimensional planes of existence. They are as complex or simple as the consciousness that has created them... and the level of technology that is functioning on that dimension. In some cases, implants have been found (when they are found) to actually exist on this physical reality (having been seen on x-ray and extracted in surgery). We tag animals with tracking devices - an implant of sorts - perhaps other beings are tagging us as well ?

Implants may be designed to function as a...
homing device - indicating to the entity where you are located.
controlling mechanism - sending compulsive-impulsive directives.
sending & receiving station - feeding off your energies and gathering information about you and your life experiences.

 Generally, the vast majority of implants out there are not so great to have inside you.

However, there are other sorts of implants with special significance, connected to The Great White Brotherhood (a collection of beings within the spiritual hierarchy of advanced light workers). These implants are crystalline in nature, and act to accelerate, magnify and channel... power, light and spirit communications. More information on this aspect of implants is beyond the scope of our discussion, at this time.

Energy Cords
For all intent and purpose, energy cords ("strings") are very similar to umbilical cords or even electric and telephone wires, except they exist on the astral dimensional planes. They can be very thin or very thick, and can appear as very light or very dark streamers coming out of your energy fields/bodies. They can be superficially hooked onto the surface of, or more deeply plugged into the very cores of your numerous energy fields and/or dimensional bodies. Initially these hooks or plugs seem pretty innocuous to the astral spirit, at first glance appearing very light, maybe even golden and brightly colored. But cords, no matter how attractive or light or energizing, are ties that bind and limit your freedom...gilded chains are still chains, and a gilded cage is still a cage .... Any cord can be made to appear beautiful and of the light, yet one should ask " where does this cord lead to ?" When followed back to their origins, we have found extremely evil, manipulative entities/consciousnesses behind them, pulling these "strings" (did you see "The Matrix" movie ? More reality here than you would think.. as the saying goes "Truth is stranger than fiction"). Even these evil beings existing in the universe have some light which to dangle in front of you, to deceive you (remember the wolf in sheep's clothes ?). Unfortunately, by this time, many of you are already hooked and you probably don't even know it....

Cords might be seen, felt or sensed by some psychics, but there are many that are imperceptible to and even way beyond the psychic abilities, as the psychic senses function on only the lower levels/dimensions. It is handy to have people around who can give the psychic "view point" or perspective... it does have its place (if it may help build your faith in the unseen, I'm all for it !) but it is important to know it has its limits.

The bleed through of psychic impulses, messages and energies from one being to another (through these cords) can often (and easily) act to interfere or distort the integrity and conscious energetic experience of your own space. This may be something most people are totally unawares of... as everyone (falsely) assumes that all their impulses, thoughts and feelings originate from themselves (where in actuality much comes from these other entities). If a person has lived with these "monkeys" on their back for a long time, they may have gotten accustomed to them and would probably be in denial to their very existence. Since our space age society disavows any knowledge of such things (being that you can't scientifically prove their existence), this is a reality the modern rational person would not even remotely consider. So it is good that there are movies such as "The Exorcist", "The 6th Sense", "The Matrix", and TV shows like "John Edwards"... they are all here to remind us what ancient man knew all along...  that things in the "real world" are never as they seem to appear... that expressed and communicated to us through the imagination and intuition, there is an underlying invisible drama that exists (behind this "curtain" of life) that absolutely is running the show of our life, subconsciously or otherwise.

Why Be Corded
There are many reasons why you corded yourself to another being, and for that matter, why they corded themselves to you....

1) It could have seemed like a good idea at the time, quite handy and practical in fact, being able to telepathically call in and out to your friends.... But friends cord to other friends, and sooner or later you are connected to a party line and are getting input from all sorts of unwanted sources.... You could easily be inundated, day and night, (non-stop) with this psychic "spam".

2) It could have been done as a way to be closer, more intimate with someone... to share the deepest thoughts and feelings from ones deepest centers. But all relationships change... some perhaps go sour, even adversarial, confrontational, or outright hostile... but the cords remain.  Once you are wired, it is not as easy to remove them as it was to create them.  Just imagine if you were corded to someone who turned dark and evil... and you had one of these wires (from them) plugged into your brain, or into your sex chakra, or your heart...? You are really really stuck.... even worse than having a grinding wheel around your neck or a lead ball and chain tied around your ankles. You are in really deep do-do (and will not be able to get out of this mess by yourself). 

3) It could have been contractually agreed upon as a way to be in a partnership or marriage with another. The old paradigm of partnership or marriage has been about  "banding" (branding ?) one person to another... i.e. being contractually bound by cords ("tying" the knot and "the ties that bind"). The new paradigm of truly loving and deep relationships is about unconditionally giving and setting each other free with no strings attached.

4) It could have been done out of fear to go it alone in the world. Many people think that by standing within their own power, the resultant freedom and independence this would give (including the associated personal and spiritual responsibility) would shun them from human society, causing them to live solitary, alone lonely lives. To prevent this, they are willing to compromise their personal power and sovereignty... and join (or "hook" up) with another person, group or outside authority... in exchange for the companionship, security (in numbers) and shared responsibility. For a particularly good ex., look at all the people who are members of all organized religions (and don't forget the political parties). 

5) Or it could have even been forced upon you against your will, or even secretly planted without your awareness. Inadvertently or in a lapse of good judgment, you let down your protective energy barriers, and someone slipped in and hooked (plugged) right into you. This happens quite a lot, especially between men and women ("she got her hooks into him"). Why do you think prostitutes are called "hookers" ?.

6) It could have been contractually agreed upon as a way to clear some mutually unresolved karmic debts ("Karmic Contracts").... This is covered in more depth on my web page The Ego & Self Mastery under the heading of "contracts".

7) It could also be entered into as a spiritual service to another soul, such as in a "God Contract" as exemplified in that cording between children and their parents.
I have few things good to say about energy cords, excepting the umbilical cord that connects a child to its mothers. It is a biological necessity during gestation, and even after when this cord is cut, there still remains (in this same area) an important energetic cording between parents and child (both mother and father). This seems to be necessary for the child's comfort, security and even survival in the developing early years. It is this telepathic-energetic link with the parents that assists the child to feel more connected and grounded to life and humanity, at this level or dimension of reality (it is bad enough, if you think about it, to at one point be in spirit, at peace, at one with all, and then be thrust down into this gross dimensional plane of duality and suffering... all by oneself... without at least some kind of life line to hold onto).

However, even this cord between parents and children can have negative consequences... when one of the beings (such as a parent or even a child) has dark issues and heavy karma, an energetic bleeding through the cord can occur, corrupting (or at least disturbing) the other individual. In family ties, this is planed, accounted for and anticipated in spirit before the birth. Such things as important as family relationships is not something haphazardly arranged...there are always deep and often karmic reasons for such connections.
Often, being connected in this way as parents (or even as the child) is the only way to help the other soul through these trials and tribulations. It is a noble endeavor and spiritual service one can do for another. It is like having a permanent, continuous, invisible life line of support and love.... If the one being is overwhelmingly strong enough to transform the others' negative energies and darkness, this could be a good thing. From the spiritual point of view, this is an ideal, yet on the human side of the equation, this burden can be sooo great as to drown both people (if you think of a person who jumps into the water to save a drowning man and ends up being attacked and drowned instead... you know what I mean). This is a task for the strong at heart, and even then, you are still corded with that person after.

No matter what your situation, before we incarnate, we will have already chosen our path and agreed on who will walk or cross along it with us, just about every step of the way. We will already know all those people who will have a part to play in our story, no matter how small or large a part, no matter how positive or negative the influence. Life is more predetermined that we realize... yet there are windows of opportunities (such as what this healing work provides) that empowers us to move along on our way with more self assuredness and grace...  accelerating us towards that time when we can be the masters of our own destiny and be free to follow our own inner hearts desires. As long as we are subject to such things as cords and contracts... we are really not free to do so. 

Dark Shadows
"Dark Shadows" reflects the mood of the gothic, a sort of nebulous dark cloud or fogginess that can surround and permeate a beings' energy, consciousness and vibrational fields. It is those areas that block the spiritual sun of higher consciousness from fully shining from within your core out into your world. They are also known as ones' " blind spots", as your conscious psychic mind cannot see through them. This condition often can be attributed to and created by the "split off" aspects of the psyche or "Shadow Self"... those unrealized and hidden feelings, motivations, dreams, and fears that - when you least expect it - jump out from some hidden closet inside and say (or do) something that is so out of character.... This is the uncontrolled release of the suppressed sub-conscious. People who drink alcohol or take certain drugs may experience this phenomena, often have no recollection of what happened the next day... it is as if that memory was gone, out of sight, didn't happen, lost....but it has been tucked away again, safely in the "closet of the subconscious" (with the other skeletons).

Sometimes through hypnosis, suppressed memories held within the subconscious (even those from past lives) can be retrieved and relived. The danger of this method used alone is that there may not be a resolution or clearing of the negative energies surrounding these experiences. You may move into a place of awareness of some pretty nasty events and feelings that you have been through in the past - and this may be a good first step for some people to wake up with - but then what ? Since all these experiences are being held within the energy matrix of the being (on one level or another) just to be aware of them may not be enough to clear them. The initial onset of trauma of a certain event (on a conscious, energetic level) may have been so painful, confusing and overwhelming, that the soul chose to suppress or compress it all into the subconscious (like placing a lot of information into a "compression zip drive"). At the time of its occurrence, the soul may not have had the energetic, spiritual, psychological resources to turn the information and energy of the trauma into something useful (nor may it have those resources even now). By the time this event is long over - even if the soul is now willing to reclaim its power and free up its "disc" space - ones personal psychic energies may be so wrapped up in supporting these unconscious holding patterns, that there is no available psychic energy left to transform (or "decompress") it back into energy and consciousness. Besides, in the process of suppressing or rejecting your experiences, you have broken or "disassociated" yourself from any conscious-energetic links you may have had to it (burning your bridges so to speak), thereby eroding any chance of reclaiming the powers imbued into your experience. The easiest (and most expedient) solution to reversing this situation is to find a healer who can assist you into "un-zipping" your subconscious and "re-associate" you with your lost self.

There is a law of physics which states that "energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed from one form to another". The dark shadow stuff is like a piece of wood...there is tremendous "potential" energy stored within it, but in this dense form, it will take a tremendously powerful, spiritually "kinetic" energetic catalyst or event to transmute the "wood" (all your suppressed and condensed experiences) back into its original form as pure light energy (and if the wood is a big log, then it has to be broken up into little tiny pieces before it can burn). It is said "it takes money to make money", and it is accurate to say that "it takes energy to release energy". So the question is... where do you get the extra energy to catalyze and transform yourself with ? Again, the easiest (and most expedient) solution is to find a healer who can add his spark (or torch) and "catalyze" you into transforming your subconscious "logs" (shadows) into a burning flame.
The good news is that according to these same laws of physics, all the energies and efforts that you put into the transformational equation you will get out... it all ads up in the end.... there are no wasted energies... there are no wasted efforts.

Projections
Another aspect of the shadow self is found in the phenomena known as "projection". For example... irregardless of your outward sex, everyone carries within them some innate qualities and ideals of both "male" and "female". However, our culture has its own ideas and says that men and women are to look and act a certain way. To fit this outwardly imposed model, a woman may reject or dissociate herself from her "masculine" qualities (strength, logic, reason, intellect) and "project" them out onto the "outer man" (who may be a real or imaginary person in her life).... and a man may do the same projection with his own "feminine" qualities (loving, gentle, compassionate, feeling, nurturing).... Each person is "disempowering" themselves by giving up (rejecting) important aspects of their psyche, often with the expected trade off that the other is going to manifest what aspect of self that one projected onto the other. This "trade off" (a "Contract" of sorts) defines a co-dependent relationships.

Aspects of the psyche that are projected (rejected or separated) from the wholeness of your original Self, eventually become distorted and clouded up, eventually to the point of taking on dark shadowy characteristics... perhaps even evolving into an independent "Shadow Self" with a consciousness, ego and will all its own. Since this shadow self resides on the periphery of your awareness and energy field (as opposed to within your immediate space), you may not be aware of this part of yourself. However, others can more easily be aware of and affected by this aspect of you as it is being projected from your space (onto them). Additionally, since this shadow often proceeds you (standing between you and the world), others perceptions of you may be tainted as they look at you (seeing this shadow instead). Since these aspects are a part of you (created from you), you ultimately have karmic responsibility for them and all that they do.

Projection is also illustrated in the meaning of the word "scapegoat". The scapegoat concept originated in biblical times where every year the priests would mystically gather the "sins" (shadows) of the people... and project (or transfer) them upon a goat who would then be let loose into the wilds. Jesus did this with someone whom a legions of entities had possessed, transferring them to pigs ("scape-pig" ?). 

We all have the ability to project ("dump") or transfer (usually unwanted) aspects of ourselves upon others, making them our scapegoats. To differing degrees of "success", some of our projections may just touch the periphery of another persons energy consciousness field and bounce off, and other times it can penetrate much deeper into the very heart of that person and stay rooted. The determining factor here is if an individual has an intact and healthy sense of self, as well as a very strong energy field (that is without any holes or tears), they can walk away from this encounter unscathed. Whereas another person who has a shattered sense of self, a lowered level of awareness, and a weak energy field (with many holes and tears in it) may be vulnerable to such attacks, inadvertently taking this stuff in. So here you are... with all these entities and implants and energy cords streaming out of you... wondering how this happened. There are times in all our past when our energies have been weakened, our sense of self is in pieces, and our consciousness lowered...  and for whatever reasons we allowed (or been forced into) these experiences. It is ok. Forgive yourself... it happened to the best of us... so lets heal it now and move on.

Contracts
What did we do in the first place to cause us to be taking on these negative situations, relationships, energies, implants, cords, entities... and can it happen again ? When you are willing to do something (or give up something of yourself) in exchange for another something, this agreement makes up the basis of a "contract".

There can be many different sorts of contracts, 
some "good" - such as the "God Contracts"...
some "bad" - found in the co-dependent relationship...
and some "evil" - the "Demonic Contracts"

I speak of God Contracts earlier here and on some other pages of my web site... but what we are concerned with now has to do with healing (clearing) the "bad contracts" found in the co-dependent relationship (as discussed earlier under the topic of projections), and the very bad "Demonic Contracts" (where the phrase "selling your soul" comes from).

  The main difference I see between bad and evil contracts is in the degree of how much of your self you gave or traded away. People in codependent relationships hardly get to the point where they give up the depths of their very soul to one another.. giving instead psychic aspects or qualities of ones self... one may give fully of ones love and share the depths of ones soul, but if you actually give over your very heart and soul into another's control - unless it be to God (who gave us our heart and soul to begin with)... or to someone whom you are absolutely certain will give your heart and soul back to you (but no one with integrity would ever accept it) this is planting the seeds of a demonic contract, certainly over time, demonic control. It may not be that way at first, but over lifetimes, this situation can grow more and more serious, building up layer upon layer of negativity (or something) to fill this now empty place you feel inside...  and separation from Source....till here you are, not realizing that you have lost your connection to God and the Heavenly Kingdom. So, what to do ? how to return to that state of innocence ? to be without sin, pure and whole again ?

Impulses
Much of what we do, say or even think from moment to moment can be run by spur of the moment, seemingly whimsical "impulses"... coming from some unknown place for some unknown reason....

A lot of our impulses are learned or even trained, coming from imprinted mannerisms and subconscious thoughts...(picked up from our parents, friends, teachers, anyone we have associated with in our past).
Some may be evolutionarily, instinctual or organically hard wired as a genetic patterning, given to us by our ancestors.
Some of our impulses are dietary or drug driven... (you drink enough coffee or colas and you will be bouncing off the walls).
A surprising amount of our impulses comes out of thin air, as a result of influences from the invisible spirit world. Perhaps not even from our own selves.

From my research into the paranormal and from working intimately with individuals and groups, I have found that many people are influenced by spirit beings who live around them in the invisible worlds. Depending on their level (and the level from which you are open and listening from), these spirit beings are sending either beneficial or detrimental guidance to you. Most people impulsively follow through with these promptings by the invisible world, never questioning where this comes from nor if it is really working for or against you.

Can one have conflicting impulses ? Clarity on this issue may be a matter of survival, if one set of impulses tell you to turn left and another to go right, one turn may lead you into a serious accident and the other may lead you to safety (or something like this). Our lives are determined by these choices we make...some of them apparently quite small (a left or right). We need to be able to differentiate if those impulses are coming from a clear and true place or not. The spirit beings around us are constantly whispering into our subconscious psychic ears and feeling hearts, giving us guidance and information. Many of these spirit beings have different or conflicting ideas, so at times this can be a strange position for us to be in... the result > we will have conflicting impulses pulling us in different directions. Some of these conflicting impulses may come from, namely, negative entities (evil spirits) that are around , within, or corded to us. In order to access the clearest impulses (the highest guidance that can work for us) we need to be freed of these entities. These hidden influences have tampered with our ability to choose our own destinies - to exert our own divine will. Having sabotaged our whole lives - our relationships, our prosperity, our peace, our happiness - they have distorted our perception of reality to the point where we do not even realize who they are or what they are doing to us...we are in ignorance and darkness and do not even know it. It is imperative that we become free of these "monkeys on our backs", so that we may get on with living as our Spirit Self intended us to.
