Astral Plane
Even though we are embodied into the material dimension (density) with physical bodies, we also exist as astral entities with astral or dream bodies (some people have more than one of these astral or dream bodies, in addition to the higher etheric dimensional body above that).

 Some experiences in your dreams (if you may recall) are examples of your astral body in action. Though this dream state might seem unreal compared to everyday life, at times it can be very hard to tell the difference. To ones' dream body, perhaps this world is the unreal one....

"Are we humans dreaming of being a butterfly, 
or a butterfly dreaming of being a human?"

 A persons whole life can be so moved by their dreams: How many times have you had a nightmare that has haunted you throughout the day ? Or a romantic dream of someone you have never met (or prophetically, whom you do meet in the future) awakening a longing in your soul ?

The soul who denies his dreams, is trapped in the confines of the material reality, only seeing the world as it is idealized, envisioned, and created by others. To an artist, the dream is how one connects with the creative muse, being the well spring of inspiration. It is our task as human beings (and for the sanity of our inner child) to manifest in the world our unique dreams.

We certainly spend a lot of our time in this dream world (1/3 of our day is spent sleeping). It is in the dream state when the physical veils of this reality can be penetrated, and we may thus experience the images and stories that live on this other side....In any event, because we are all (to some degree or another) connected to our higher dimensional bodies, we are all affected and influenced by what happens there, whether we do or do not know, believe, or remember it.

Deja Vu
Some events that you experience now on earth, may have already happened before....i.e.. you may be living out what has already occurred on the astral planes (in the dream body) and are just now experiencing it in the physical body. Sometimes you must have the experience in the physical dimension, so that the lessons are grounded in your physical body, not just in your astral or mental (psychic) bodies. It's like watching a movie on TV (astral) verse seeing it as a live play on stage. There is a difference, yet the story line is the same.

The Other Side
All that we imagine comes from our higher mind (tapping into the collective unconscious) interpreting (through our conscious material ego mind) that which exists in the other dimensions. The higher mind can create something new, but most often it connects us to something that already exists and has reality on these other dimensions. Throughout many differing cultures and times, a repetitive wealth of symbols and story lines emerge from this collective unconscious (as in the dream worlds of our fairy tales...). We say it is a figment of our imagination, yet could there be some basis of fact if everyone is experiencing the same basic fantasies, over and over and over again...? Could another explanation be that there is in fact, another world (or worlds) behind this one, that we have drawn these ancient (or recent) memories from?

Look at the diverse imagery of these mythic creatures > the unicorns, dragons, goblins, ogres, yetis,....and such beings as fairy godmothers, goddesses, witches, fairies, elves,....and of these strange alien races > the reptoids, insectoids, the grays,.... and technologically advanced vehicles of transportation > interstellar space ships and star gates.... None of these things have been found to exist on this physical plane (as of yet), but stories, memories and images of them are encountered all around us. Is this a sort of mass hallucination or a glimpse into another reality ? This is also where we get our fantastic ideas and creative endeavors in all our arts and sciences. For something to become real on this earth plane, it must first be imagined before we can harness our will and the material forces to materialize it. What comes to our imagination must exists somewhere beyond the physical > it must come to our minds from the spiritual realms.

All that exists within the intangible and invisible world of our sub-conscious... all our fears and dark fantasies, our hopes and bright dreams,... all this and more, continue to run our everyday life (whether we are consciously aware of it or not). 

As Above So Below
What we manifest on the earth plane is just the tip of what exists in spirit. There is a saying "as above so below".... We all think that everything is rosy and lovey dovey when we leave this earthly existence, but this is not necessarily so - we take our disturbing tendencies and selfish will with us wherever we go - we cannot escape our selves. This may be the one reason why certain religions do not support suicide and the death penalty - death is not a cure (though it is a temporary reprieve that one may see from another perspective, a clearer vantage point, distanced from the irritations of the physical body).

Astral Planets & Schools
The physical planets also have astral dream bodies which are connected to, co-exist, overlap and intermingle with their physical counterparts (just as we do). It has been seen that some incarnated humans have astral bodies that even now, may be living simultaneous lives on these astral planets (visiting there during the dream state).

Before, during and after our sojourn here on this planet, we travel to and exist on these different dimensions and planets, to experience some very unique aspects of creation (not found anywhere else). Each planet is very different in its orientation, in what it offers, in its energy, the predominant colors, sounds, vibrations, types and appearances of the beings that live on it.... Most planets even have a head ruler or counsel of beings who are designated as leaders (different but similar in ways to what we have in this physical dimension). Many beings who find themselves on these planets are there for the special healing - teaching temples, or what is also called "Mystery Schools".

Mystery School
There are a number of these schools on each of the planets, including the sun. Like schools in our world, there are particular lessons that must be grasped before one can graduate on to the next level. (When one has completed training on all the planets in this solar system, then one is allowed to journey to other schools in other solar systems, galaxies, and dimensions). In order to completely imbibe what each planet and its schools offer, sometimes this process may take a very long time (portions being completed in spirit), in between many life times of physical incarnations... being a sort of practical homework assignment.

The ten life stages of consciousness development generally describes some of the things taught on these planets (in the astral dimension). This is why some psychics and astrologers ("astro-logy"= the study of the astral) can read your past and see into the future what your lessons and strengths are > they read your astral school records. Like any school, some subjects you will excel in, others you may fail or not complete. The Mystery Schools are no different: what you excel at you teach to others, what you fail at you repeat, what areas you have gaps in you complete. Even with a lot of help, such training takes a very long time to finish (if there is a finish). As the universe is constantly evolving, there are always new things (even in the spirit world) that are being created for the first time. Even the oldest, wisest, most powerful soul can learn a new trick or two.

Changing The Script
To some extent, you have already pre-planed and created your own future (when you were in spirit or in "Bardo") and are living that out here. There is a possibility of changing or deleting certain negative things from that script, but to do so, one must connect to the central prime mover > the higher consciousness and power. If your energetic channel to this higher power is at all blocked or distorted, it will be very difficult if not impossible for you to draw down (through your own soul) the energies needed to make these changes > you will have to connect with a being who does have this powerful channel clear and open. In addition, one must have the authority (blessings) from the spiritual hierarchy of ascended masters to do this intervention. It is their responsibility to oversee the spiritual development of other souls, and assist in their unfoldment within the divine plan (so too are there archangels who oversee other angels). This may be hard to acknowledge, but there is a hierarchy of ruler-ship (or perhaps a more palliative word is stewardship) so that all beings upon heaven and earth must answer to a higher authority.
