The very nature of life is constant change : The truth that is revealed in this moment may not be the truth in the next. Each person and situation one comes across presents us with a unique window into other truths and perspectives. Thus, everything that is experienced must be as if for the first time, with fresh new eyes. Practitioners of Zen call this... cultivating the "Beginners Mind" (that child like state of innocence and purity).

Of course this is a nice ideal, yet can this be practically applied or realistically achieved ?

Baggage
The best way we can ever hope to directly inter-face and inter-act with what is real in this very moment, is to not be prejudiced, tainted, or influenced by anything that is within our self, commonly known as "baggage".... This refers to anything that is remotely material, in-transitory, or of the phenomenal reality... i.e. anything that is subject to change, including our thoughts (mind) and feelings (emotions).

The major problem we all have in this life (on our "path") is that we all carry "Baggage" (some more than others). Over lifetimes of journeying through many distant lands, we have accumulated much stuff... helpful in times past - most of it is now outmoded and obsolete - yet we are still carrying it around (and it is slowing us down).
Within every "bag" comes a number of multi-colored (some very dark) reading glasses, and an instruction manual on how to function in "this" particular situation or "that". Some baggage has a name on it that says "relationships", others "belief systems", another "thoughts".... When we come into a new situation, we can't help but bring out our "baggage", pull out our glasses and consult our manual. Some people are very comfortable and feel safe with all this paraphernalia... It gives them the sense that their lives are organized and they know their boundaries on how to think, feel, and act in every situation. Many  are so deathly and fearfully attached to their stuff...  they won't part with it for anything... in fact, they are even interested in accumulating more stuff (if you could believe that... but it's true... look around at all the things people have... its just a reflection of the inner). The difficulty arises when, in addition to all your baggage, the people we interact with also bring their baggage, glasses, and manuals... so instead of interacting directly with that other person, it all filters through this other stuff. When you realize that most of your relationships are based on "stuff", it can be very sobering.
The next step.......
If
your life "Journey" or "Path" is towards clarity, innocence and freedom... (maybe catching glimpses of "It" off and on - I believe the word is "Satori"), then this is what the healing work is for... to further unburden you of your excess "baggage" and quicken the "Journey"  along the "Healing Way" (the literal translation of "Tao" is "Path" or "Way").

Once you are free of more and more stuff, perhaps you will begin to see that what you thought was reality, is like nothing it appeared to be : The people who we felt and thought we knew, are nothing like we earlier perceived them to be. The truths we earlier believed in are empty shadows... mere reflections of something else or outright lies.

Underneath the surface, there exists layers and layers of diverse consciousness and vibrations... whole worlds invisible to the material eye... multi-dimensional beings behind beings... wheels within wheels... spinning agendas, desires and determinations... plans cast eons ago... unfolding in the now and eternal future.... And we think we know what is truth ? The best we can hope for (if we really work at it) is to be clear enough of our personal baggage so that we can directly experience who we really are... and perhaps, just perhaps, we may be able to really know another.

Life Lines
All the "Paths" or "Journeys" we have ever walked on in the past or take up into the future... including all the "Purposes" we invest ourselves into... be it on any dimension of our being (in either  a physical or spiritual body) are actually following pre-determined forces - etherically seen as a multitude of multi-dimensional, energetic light lines or cords... I would call "Path Lines" or "Life Lines".

Past life "Path Lines" can run into anywhere on the back, side, top or bottom of your body.... This is an outline of your past... your history... a travelogue... a record of your journeys.... Just about everything that makes up who you are (including your ancestral lineage)... and everywhere you have ever been... can be followed back along these lines. Under normal circumstances, these lines - as they go into the past - cannot (usually) be altered, erased, or disconnected. However, Healings can be applied through ones current being that can affect these lines (and their respective "Purposes").

Current Life-Present Time : It is only at this juncture point inside your present and current state of being, where changes can possibly be made to either continue to follow Past Life "Path Lines" on into the future, change the directions of future Paths, or clear and heal (even neutralize and dissolve) these past and future Paths (this work is offered as part of my Healing Services).

Future Life "Path Lines": These lines emerge or are projected from anywhere on the front, side, top or bottom of your body. These Future Life "Path Lines" can only be altered in a present body and in current time. If these Lines exist at all (even minutely) they must be traveled upon at some point in time or some dimensional reality.
In
Current Life-Present Time there can be crossing or divergent points along our path way - like "forks" in the road. It is at these points we speak of "free will", and it is at these moments when our free will comes into play. If in the past we have chosen to take one path over another, we must often follow it all the way to its completion point or end, accepting as fate (or "destiny") all experiences that we have along the way (even those of a traumatic nature). When we choose one path over another, we cannot but accept the  consequences, even if the choice was made lifetimes ago and one is now unawares of the reasons, or the situations have changed. No one in their right mind would say they choose to be murdered or raped (or whatever), but from the choices we all have made (whether conscious or not) at some (previous) points along our journey (life path), our "Life Lines" may intersect with situations or people who have other intentions than our welfare. Just like in real life - when we go on a vacation tour - we expect to get the "Trip" we ask for, but no one can foresee all eventualities... anything can and does happen... cars run out of gas, we lose our luggage, our money is stolen, the food makes us sick,.... This is not Divine Justice per say... just the way life runs. It is not necessarily bad, but part of the learning process to make better choices and be savvy and wise travelers. This may take many lifetimes to complete.

God (or ones Higher Self) wants us to choose the best path (one free of as little suffering and pain), but He (or She) can't force us to choose one path over another.

Until another crossing or divergent path appears, on cannot jump off of a pre-determined path... it must be taken to the end.

Do you get the idea of "Path" ? It is very much like a road.... Let's say you are driving from New York to Boston, and there is a fork in the road, both roads supposedly leading to Boston. One road is the scenic slow route, and the other is the fast freeway. At that point you can choose either one, but once you choose you cant go back and undo it.

So you choose the scenic route... and it's pleasant (mostly), but you may run out of gas in some deserted back road, or spend lots of money on motels or car repairs. You may meet some interesting characters.. maybe even the love of your life... anything may happen and usually does.

Or you choose the freeway, and you run into lots of traffic or get in a terrible accident, or you may may just get to your destination very quickly (and uneventfully), meeting no one and seeing nothing new or interesting... hard to tell.

Our Higher Self is there watching over us all the time... ready to advise and assist in our decision making process... if we care to ask.. are able to receive the answers.. and have the faith and trust to follow through with what we are given.

Often times, we are given a suggestion to follow one path over another, but seldom are we given the full itinerary. Most times, we must choose in blind faith... this is part of our lesson and part of the adventure - the mystery of life.

Certain future paths chosen are made with consideration to "Contracts", "Spirit Agreements" and other life experiences that are expected to be had (for more info, see Healing Way and also Ghost Busters). Some of these choices have been made from the old self that existed lifetimes ago, not from the present self existing in the current moment of time. However, if these "contracts" (and such) are still pertinent to your being now (or not) you are still "locked" into following through with your pre-determined paths (unless there is some spiritual healing and intervention).

Ultimately (and ideally), all paths finally end in the Heart... to God. That is the goal, though sometimes it may take thousands of lifetimes and millions of years to complete.

Transmission
Concepts, ideas, words (no matter how lofty) were created by the mind to describe something beyond the mind... the words are not the thing but a symbolic representation of it... yet it is the direct experience that reveals the true nature of reality.

The Tao may not necessarily be the words in and of themselves, but behind, beyond and between them, there is an energy, consciousness and vibration - transmitted from the speaker - that is carried along with and through the words. Perhaps you may have a sense of this as you read this web site... there is an energy, consciousness and vibration that is even now being conveyed to you (what do you feel ?).

it is always good when reading anything (especially here) to keep an open mind. If you disagree with something said, don't get hung up on it... I am not attached to being right in anything I say... though "provocative" is good. If I get you thinking outside your "comfort zones"... outside your "box"... I would have succeeded in making our time and effort worth while. In this web site I speak of many things... many concepts... some quite unbelievable, though very interesting for sure. It may appear "Un-Tao" like to rattle on and on (even to the point of being repetitive), yet one purpose in all this verbiage has been to feed the questioning mind that wants to know...

"How do I fit this healing into a workable frame of reference, into some sort of understandable "box" ?"

Those who live and act in faith (not needing to know in order to act) can just do the work on an inner feeling or sense of its rightness... yet there are few who are in this place of faith and trust. Soooo... in the meanwhile... to coax the reluctant mind into going along with the "Spiritual Plan", some explanations are called for.

Yes, the "Tao" cannot (adequately) be put in words or understood in the regular ways things are known. However, the "Truth" of "It" ... "Your Truth"... can be known thru subjective experience and divine revelation... this being the essence of what I wish to convey to you through the healing work I offer.

Feng Shui

Feng Shui - as it is practiced in the world today - is approached as the science of placement and symbolism... in regards to the inherent symbolic meanings, magnetic influences, and energetic dynamics contained within certain objects and directions (of the compass). For example, a tree has a different energy field (and symbolic meaning) than a statue, and things placed in the North have a different energetic affect than if oriented to the South. It is the oriental version and school of landscaping and interior decorating... with very specific rules to follow (there are also some corollaries with "geomancy", but that is a slightly different subject). I believe Feng Shui originated from intuitive revelation (like the religions) and evolved with scientific observation, yet it has become an outer teaching and (like every thing else traditional), has become an established institution (also like the religions). This is not necessarily bad (there is a kernel of truth in all things), but I feel that one should also consider presenting to ones' Spiritual guidance the question about interior decorations and placement (they see things so much clearer). I have done so numerous times and have even come up with some interesting multi-dimensional problems "outside of the box" (see Ghost Busters).

Acupuncture
The underlining principle behind acupuncture is that all life is made up of energy, and that diseases are generally caused by an imbalance of this life energy within the body. Acupuncture works by stimulating certain points and lines of energy on the body (meridians), thereby restoring the natural balance and healthy flow of life energy. As the physical body mirrors or manifests the deeper imbalances present in the mind-spirit, it is thought that by merely manipulating the meridian flows, one can affect a change in the mind and spirit. However, the meridian flows only exist on one energetic-dimensional level, whereas the human soul exists and functions on many dimensions of energy and consciousness. I intuited that many causes of disease came from a level not connected or affected by manipulation of the meridian flows, but another flow of energy and consciousness altogether. For the inquisitive acupuncturist that I was, I felt it my duty to find any other healing methods that would affect a change on these other levels, that I may better serve my patients.

A Curious Experiment
A short time after I graduated from acupuncture school, I began to experiment with energy healing without using the needles. A friend had given me a crystal pendulum (see Dowsing), and I was holding this on the points and meridians over his body. At different places, the pendulum would swing clockwise, counter-clockwise, longitudinally...and my friend would feel the energy move in ways that were similar to the effects that the acupuncture needles would normally have, even better !
"Wow, this is interesting. How far can I go with this ?"
I held a box of patent formula herbs on the chest of another one of my clients and held the pendulum over it and watched it swing, and my client reported feeling the herbs sink into her chest, opening and clearing it...hmm....
"What would happen if I did not use the pendulum at all but used my hand instead ?"
Sure enough, I got the same results (some more interesting and different than others). Then the idea dawned on me to do this energy work without touching the person, even from a distance across the room. So I started to practice.... I approached one of my friends (who did reiki healing) and asked him if he would be so kind as to be my guinea pig for this mad experiment of mine (I have practiced on a lot of trusting souls over these past few years...haven't lost anyone yet, cross my fingers). Well, after the session he asked me if I ever received any reiki initiations or training, as what I did with him felt similar to it, even more powerful. I said no, I have never received any reiki before. Another interesting piece of the puzzle....

Why I Left Acupuncture
So if I could work with the energies of the body without needles (this method of healing is generically called "Chi Kung"... Chi=energy, Kung=work) why do acupuncture ? Why not just focus directly on the energies without all those invasive needles ? Does this make sense to you ? Well it sure did to me. Who cared what tools I used just as long as I achieved the same if not better results.... At this point I got the idea that I should let go of the old form of using needles in my healing work, and just focus on practicing and developing this new way. It has taken a lot of courage and faith to let go of 3+ years of schooling and approach my work in this way. Many people think acupuncture is far out there on the fringes of medical practice...yet the energy and higher consciousness work I was about to step into was beyond even that. Somehow I just knew that the risks to discovering a new and more powerful healing modality was worth it. Additionally, with oriental medicine, I found I had reached the ceiling of its effectiveness (for me and my clients)... it could only take us so far. When I discovered the existence of the inner spirit world and its causative affects on the outer life, a whole new mystery and journey of more profound healing was uncovered. And here we are.

Testing The Message-Dowsing
An important way to communicate with your inner self is done by tuning into the body. Developed/evolved over millions of years, your body is the most sophisticated and sensitive instrument. It has an innate intelligence that sidesteps the distorted filters of the rational mind, directly connected to the primitive, energetic, instinctual, subconscious self. One way to access this wisdom it to "Dowse".

"
Dowsing" is an extremely old and traditional technique, with some "hints" of its earliest use in ancient Egypt. Today it is a "somewhat" well know metaphysical tool, yet it has always been keep as a closely guarded "trade" secret by those (geologists) in the field who use it as a very effective tool for finding water, coal, oil, and precious metals.... For these same purposes, there are definitive records of its use going as far back as the middle ages, when dowsers used a "Y" shaped cut stick (called a witch)... hence the origin of the term "Witch" (as in "witching rods" ).
"
Dowsers" have traditionally used these "witching" or "dowsing rods", but one can just as effectively use a pendulum (also an ancient dowsing tool), or, alternately, use any body part as in "muscle testing" (some chiropractors use this technique).

The first thing one must do to effectively dowse is to "program" or "command" your body-mind to give you a readable "yes" and "no" response/signal. There are some parts of the body that are more receptive to this programming than others. Let me suggest you start by using your head... you already do this to some extent, but program it in consciously. Here is what I mean. Say to yourself (out loud, with conviction and intention)...

"
I command my body-mind to indicate...
a 'yes' answer is when my head moves up and down...
and a 'no' answer is when my head moves back and forth
".

Ask yourself a question that is clearly a "Yes" answer. Respond by moving your head up and down (help it along a bit at first). For a "No" answer, do this same thing except move your from head side to side (back and forth). Do this enough, and the body-mind will get the idea and do it automatically (like driving a car or walking). However you do this, be very consistent in how you program your body-mind > once you program yourself in one way, don't change it... if you program in to many conflicting commands, this will give you conflicting readings.

If you do not feel the signals as well or as comfortably using your head, you may get a better response by using your arm, hand, finger or even a pendulum (a "Yes" rotates or spins in a clockwise direction, and a "No" counter-clockwise, or even back and forth). Some people may even feel the signals better in their solar plexus or heart, but you will have to experiment with this. Once you find out what part of the body your inner self likes to signal through, you may begin to make your inquiries. Start with simple questions like :
Is "....." my name ?    Do I live at "....." ?    Am I "....." years old ?
Don't be shocked if your simple questions turn up some unexpected answers. There are many kinds of answers and /or levels of truth... one truth in the physical universe may be very different than that found in the spiritual. If you get an answer to a question that doesn't make sense... you may be receiving the answer from another level of reality. This complicates things a bit, but then, it makes it more interesting too. Play with it....

Learning to ask questions can be a fun exercise, especially when you get some weird answers in return. Be open to any response... your gut feelings are usually truer than your rational mind. Test it out and see what happens. Do not be attached to what you think is right or wrong here, just experiment. You may even write your questions and answers down on paper to analyze later, to ask again in different ways. They are many permutations to a question and answer, so this will take practice on your part. The intuitive self is most always going to surprise you, your "logical" mind anyway.

As an important point of interest... no matter what tool you use to access the Inner Higher Self (going through the body... as in dowsing, or using some other method) there most likely will be some filters and interferences (either on the energetic or consciousness levels). As you receive more healing work, you will find your dowsing (or other forms of receiving) to give you clearer and clearer answers.
