The Healing Way
The very nature of our "Inner Self" is Peace, Power, Light, Love, Happiness, Wisdom...the list goes on. If "Being" and "Manifesting" our Inner Self was easy, we would be exhibiting all these attributes in our daily lives.... However, our human experiential reality (for most of us on this earth plane) is quite different.... Due to various factors (primarily the disconnection we have to the "God Source") full access to these "innate gifts" have been blocked off. If you could have achieved this opening thru your own means, you would have done so by now. This is where my healing work comes in to play. 

Purification
The primary goal of all spiritual work is the purification of the mental-emotional-spiritual-energetic bodies. The idea of purification is that all the channels must be totally clear and unencumbered to enable the powerful energies and higher consciousness of spirit to freely flow in and through our whole beings, eventually to connect with our lower self and all our bodily functions. We wish to create the "inner space" where we simply become crystal clear channels (Christ like) that our higher self may fully function and inhabit in us on All levels. 

One may look upon the levels or dimensions of our being like a multi-tiered apartment complex (or skyscraper for  some). At the very highest levels (the penthouse / the master control rooms) we are closest to the heavens ... the air is so rarified and clear - we can almost touch the sky. As we travel down to the lower levels (floors), we see each one has a different function and energy field about it... till we get to the basement levels, which are designed to support the physical structure and which contains the basic elemental supplies and mechanisms. If any part of the building is neglected or ignored...lets say if the tenants all move up to the penthouse, undesirable foreign elements and entities will be free to move in onto any of the other lower floors, at will. Or let's say, on one of the middle floors, the tenants store all their unwanted junk (excess vibrations and energies) in one of the rooms - or even throughout the whole floor - spilling over into the stairwells. Over time, this area will start to smell (the rats will move in)... all creating an interruption or "block" in the smooth flow of commerce and communication to and from the lower and higher floors. We start the purification process by removing these blocks - those excess vibrations, energies, foreign elements and entities - that do not belong within our being (or are just misplaced). By doing this clearing, the previous tenants (you) will then be inclined to move back into and fully occupy their old and now renovated spaces.

Soul Retrieval
Let us start our journey into understanding healing by looking at the age old practice of "Soul Retrieval".  The most familiar understanding of this is taken from the shamanic traditions. It has to do with the concept that bits and pieces of our spiritual power and soul (sometimes enormous chunks of our selves on one level or another) have been separated from us, unavailable, lost, or trapped in some dark nether region. 
It may not even be a question of "Where" but "When"... lost bits of the self may be trapped in some "Past" or even "Future" multi-dimensional "time warp" (for lack of a better term). There are even cases where it is not "Where" or "When" your being may reside, but in "Who". A part of you could have been given up (or stolen) from yourself, only to be lodged within another entity, held ransom to their slightest whim (see exorcisms). Your energies, even segments of your consciousness / soul may be incorporated and used / abused by other beings.... In today's' psychological terms, this is described as "co-dependency" (a modern day explanation for an ancient known condition).

The Shamans Task
My role in a "Soul Retrieval" is to project my Spirit Energy Being to where your bits and pieces are lodged, and free them up, that they may be reintegrated into your current self. There is not one session I label exclusively as "Soul Retrieval" work, since aspects of this healing method are incorporated into many of  the sessions I do. I have also dispensed with using the conventional / traditional methods of shamanic soul retrieval (such as ceremony, drumming, drugs or hallucinogens) as I have found them to be superfluous ... I achieve just as good if not better results without their use.

Original Sin ?
Ever since we as a species have had to struggle to survive over the competing forces of nature ... throughout all our past lives existing on this (or another) planet and/or dimension... as individual souls experiencing life (from birth, childhood, adulthood, old age to death)... we have had to compromise what we feel in our heart is right and true - our souls integrity - to those more powerful beings who have been (or still are) in controlling positions over our lives ("compromise", as in to barter, trade or outright "sell our soul"). Since it is in the human nature to follow the examples shown us (good or bad), learning and doing what we know (even if distorted)... we tend to perpetuate dysfunction by becoming co-conspirators to similar behavior, further teaching and enlisting others in our vicious games... as the cycle of victim and perpetrator continues.....

The Fall From Grace
The Soul is made up of little and big links in a long chain that is our conscious and energetic connection to God (it has been said that these links are the long dna strands - many thought to be missing from our genetic makeup - but this is another topic not to be covered here). If we lose just one link on this chain, our spiritual perspective narrows... eventually (if more links are lost) we lose sight of the "Big Picture" - > our conscious soul connection to spirit, our life path, our channel to God... thus began the "Fall from Grace" - the slippery slope leading away from God, from that "State of Oneness".... 
To lose even a small portion of ones soul (a link) has the effect of distorting the messages we do receive from Spirit, till one loses the ability to clearly hear and determine what is right and wrong, and the moral ground on knowing what is up and down....
 As the way becomes less and less clear...we begin to lose trust in our guiding compass - our spiritual connection to God - and we become less secure in our selves and our place in the universe. And when the lower "Inner Child Self" feels more and more disconnected from the guidance, knowledge, power and life of its own soul and "Higher Parental God Self", the fears and insecurities take a life all its own (in the form of an ever growing "Ego Persona"), as the egos impulse for survival will compel us to all sorts of behaviors we would not normally do in order to reconnect us (albeit in a round about and distorted way) if not to the real, than to an illusion of the higher self, generated by the Ego (which has now become our Gods, our substitute spiritual parents).

Integration
The healing work I do helps to connect, unify, or integrate the multiple higher energy - spirit bodies, to connect the dots (or "links") between them, so to speak. Much of this integration occurs naturally within your self... as your energy is cleared and your soul parts returned. This process may take a few days or be instantaneous. One cannot proceed with more healing work before this "coalescing" is complete. As the soul becomes reunited within itself and re-exerts its sovereign authority, the ego persona relaxes and begins to take a more back stage presence, supporting your act (or trip) instead of always wanting to be at center stage (and running your life).

God Contracts And Karmic Agreements
Before a soul can evolve, one must come to terms with and fulfill ones "God Contracts" and "Karmic Agreements", both made on your behalf by your innermost  self, under the guidance and approval of the "Spiritual Hierarchy".

God Contracts
These "God Contracts" are the souls heart felt impassioned desire to be of service to all of creation, in ones own unique and meaningful way. This is an expression of ones "Higher Purpose" in life. God Contracts are not limited only to those incarnate souls... All those beings who (whether embodied or in spirit) desire to lead meaningful existences in service to their creator, partake of this opportunity to be as "Co-Creators"with God.
As far as how my healing work may assist you in fulfilling and manifesting your Life's Purpose, your "God Contracts", it's all very simple ... each one of us holds within our being, reflected in the light of our soul and radiating from out of our heart, all the gifts and talents we could ever possibly utilize in service to creation, as expressions of our love, as expressions of our very Selves (both higher and  lower). This is who we really are. Coming from out of this place is the voice of our Soul that says:
"I am perfect, just the way I am". And this is true (on that level). 
However, this begs the question ...
"Why are we not able to know, express, or manifest (in this world) all the gifts and talents of our 'Divine Life Purpose' ?"
 The answer is simple... we are blocked up. 
There are soooo many layers of junk that we have accumulated within our energy field and consciousness, that our very being is not only hidden from the world, but even, hidden from our own selves. 

There is a bright and shining star within all beings...the "Starseed" souls are more aware of this, but it is a truth for everyone. My healing work will uncover this Great Star that you are, that you may shine brighter than you have done in a very long time.

Karmic Agreements
"Karmic Agreements" on the other hand, are specifically designed so that you may learn certain lessons, often those of a very difficult nature.  These are sometimes typified as life's' "hard knocks" - the many unpleasant experiences a soul goes through here on planet earth. Here we see what some would call "divine retribution" taking place - the balance of action to reaction, the law of cause and effect (this is what "Karma" means) ... all designed so that you may learn all sides of life : if you have been the persecutor (or abuser) in one life - you may be the victim (or abused) in the next ; if you have been wealthy in one life - you may be poor in the next. It doesn't always translate as "negative" experiences either : If one has been a teacher in one life - one may be the student in the next, or, if one was a man in one life - in the next life, one may be a woman ... and so on, and on, and on ....

Additionally, Karmic Agreements can be very individual specific, linked to that particular soul you have done the "Karmic Dance" with... ones that you have, so to speak "energy with" or where there is a "charge on"... be it "positive" as in "good karma", or "negative" as in "bad karma". In regards to "positive" or "good karma", every time we do a good deed and generate and project loving energy into the universe and to our fellow man, that energy is "cycled" back to us, even magnified... "what goes around comes around" is the saying...do good and it comes back to you, do bad and this too comes back to you - magnified.   Anyone whom you have ever been previously engaged with in a negative (bad karmic) cycle of action and reaction (even in the smallest of ways), that energy must somehow be Neutralized, often by its opposite, like an antidote. As an extreme example... if you killed a particular person in one life (a "bad" karmic thing to do), the "human" thing to do would be to match like energy and kill that person the next time you had the chance...thus, escalating (building on) and perpetuating this negative (bad karmic) energy. The "divine antidote" is to neutralize this energy within the spirit of love and forgiveness, directed not only to the other person, but most especially for ourselves... for one never really knows if, at some distant time in the past, you have started this cascading bad karma with your own negative action...and your karma is catching up to you, finally. Does it stop now with you, or will it be added onto and perpetuated unto the next life? The biblical quote that epitomizes this teaching is "to turn the other cheek", and in the Lords Prayer..."forgive us our trespass as we forgive those who would trespass against us."
Thus, where there is any negative energetic imbalance or incompletion in any relationship from any time period, these souls will eventually be brought together again - to "finish the dance" - before they may be allowed to move forward on their path. 

In some situations, when that other individual - who you were involved with - is not available (having resolved their karma in another manner), spirit may put in a substitute (who has similar issues) to take their place.... 

In so many ways, spirit provides us with many alternative opportunities to learn our lessons and work out our karma... either the "hard way" - through life's' hard knocks, or the "easy way" - through the grace found in the healing experience.

With these different examples, one may say that there is so called (or judged) "good karma" and "bad karma". The point is that in any karmic situation, one is still trapped within the laws of action and reaction.... One is not truly internally free to evolve and ascend to a higher more spiritual level of creation, as long as one is compelled to do the dance.... When one is free of all karma ("good" or "bad"), the internal forces of creation become balanced inside ones being, and there is an up-liftment of ones spirit. This is what is partly meant as "Ascension"...it is also a prerequisite to raising the "Kundalini".

Each individual soul is personally responsible for all their deeds, from the beginning of creation to the ends of the earth. No matter how far out into space we go... no matter how fast we run down the ages of time, eventually, our past deeds will always catch up to us. No one can escape from karma (just as no one can escape from themselves - wherever you go, there you are). Some may say karma is a cruel joke, but it is actually a brilliant way the universe teaches us to learn and evolve into higher functioning creatures... Karma is a sort of built in feedback mechanism, epitomized in the biblical saying "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". This is the personal, universal, and eternal lesson of karma.

The physical and energetic laws of the universe demand balance ... one side of the equation must equal the other. No matter how awful certain dramatic events may look from a human standpoint, the laws of Karma are, actually, quite impersonal and unforgiving. However, Grace is  available...there is a way out.
 It has been thought that one is trapped by ones Karmic Agreements - that one cannot be absolved of these experiences, but this is not completely accurate....
My work with you can certainly and quickly help you expedite and resolve many of these "Karmic Agreements" you may have with other souls. Essentially, "Karma" as I work with it, is the mixed up, unresolved, co-dependant energies and issues that you are holding within your own being, or... that you are holding (as in projecting) onto (or within) another person, or... what another is holding (or projecting) against (or within) you. This vicious cycle must be broken, but someone must make the first move. 
The energy dynamics of this sort of situation sets up the belief that "I am not the problem"... " it is the other person who needs fixing not me!"...  its "Saddam" or "George Bush" or "the government" or "my parents" or "my partner" or "my children" or "my boss"... they all need healing, not me.... 
Ok, for the sake of argument, I will go along with this if by doing so, you take responsibility for the other person (by proxy so to speak) by doing the healing work on yourself...it will assist them (and it will, in a round about way). However, it all has got to start somewhere... you might as well make the first move. This is called "leading by example". However you put it, in order to help someone else, you must focus on healing yourself (if parts of the other is inside you - when you heal, they heal). Most relationships between parents and children, and dating or married couples... have to do with karmic agreements. As long as there are these sorts of unresolved energies in any relationship, no one is really free to be fully happy.

Side Effects
As a result of the soul retrieval work, that which returns to us to be integrated "may" or "may not" always be pleasant, easy, light or acceptable. It was out of judgment (in the first place) that we rejected many so called "undesirable" aspects of our soul (some "good" some "bad") and projected them out of our being into the furthest reaches of time and space. These rejected / projected aspects are called our "shadow" selves - and there can be enlightened shadow selves just as there are dark shadow selves. We can reject the good in us just as easily as the (so called) bad, but (like it or not) both are equally a part of our real nature - the whole truth of who we are (including the ego), and in that truth lies our power, our love, our treasure, our hidden gifts. As we dispense with judgment, we see that it is all an indispensable gift from God (even such  feelings as anger, grief, sadness,... ).

Sometimes the truth of our being is fiery, bold and angry.... Unfortunately, the energy of anger has been more suppressed, repressed, misunderstood and feared more than anything else in our society, yet anger is just a raw and primal form of the creative energy of the life force. The energy of anger is not a "place" to dwell in, but a valid feeling to acknowledge, release, heal, and move on from.... This energy is not bad in and of itself, only in how we use or abuse it (remember Jesus in the Temple with the money changers ?). In my opinion, suppressed anger is the # 1 emotional energetic cause of cancer (and many other illnesses) in our culture.

Sometimes the truth of our being is inward and quiet, tearful and sad.... Again, some people around us expect that we always have a happy face on, that we are always strong for them. There is much in our world and personal history, that we should be sad about. Perhaps in the past, we have had terribly painful experiences that have wounded us deeply, secretly, inwardly, and feel helpless or powerless to change the ugly things we even now see all around us. We have a right to feel sad, angry and even cry. It is a part of who we all - our truth... and within that part is a special gift, a lesson, some wisdom, a deeper insight into being human. If we deny that part of ourselves, the whole world is diminished.

Sometimes, what we perceive as a "negative side effect" is actually a great blessing in disguise.

As unlimited spirits who are incarnated into this limited fleshy existence, we experience many things, some considered negative, some positive. The number one thing to remember is that everything that happens to us or comes to us (on this earthly plane) is coordinated and orchestrated by our collective Higher Selves and God. There are no accidents.. everything is being used (by Spirit) as a tool (in this very moment) to assist us in evolving and working out our karma - all is designed so that we may learn our lessons (one way or another). This healing work is offered to you as an alternative - a "window of opportunity" -  one that will accelerate your healing process. That it acts to quickly uncover and clear some of the unpleasant things that are lodged within your mind-body-energy-spirit-consciousness self, is the blessing. It is designed to peel you, layer by layer, bit by bit, till what remains is close to (if nothing but) your essential God Self. 
This work is to do what life does to us, except in a more direct intentional and expedient way. In order to go deeper and closer to that core, sometimes we must go through parts of you that are rotting away, dark, smelly and not very pretty. You may see, feel, and intimately become reacquainted with what that is, or it may just vanish like a puff of air. Whatever happens, continue to remember that this too shall pass, as you focus on your continued healing, moving closer to your goal. If you discontinue the healing work before the completion of the total course of treatments, the possibility is likely that you may remain at the level you last became opened to, and may be inundated with whatever unresolved issues and energies reside there, having to slowly process them on your own.

Processing Emotions
If you do find yourself in this situation, it will be important to give stirred up emotions the space to be exercised or "processed" out.

Emotion = Energy + Motion (movement)

An Exercise
Do this exercise starting with 10 minutes at a time, whenever you feel.... Go into the privacy of your own room - out of earshot and away from anyone (so do this when no one else is home to hear you). Close your eyes, and say to yourself... "I give myself permission NOW for the next 10 minutes, to totally let go and emote in whatever way I feel". Move your body, yell, scream, breath, say whatever comes into your mind, be as loud as you feel... just let it all out. 
The problem when one is inundated with a flood of so many emotions (that have previously been suppressed) is that they have no way of sorting or working themselves out until we exercise each one...honor and allow them to "come out and play" like we are a child again. As we grew up, many of us learned not to be emotional around people (perhaps others did not approve of it) so we forced and shove all that freely flowing, spontaneous energy and life down deep inside. Every time we did, another part of us died, or weakened a little bit more....We must nurture and love our emotions...make friends with them...these are our power totems, spirit allies, the inner army of our immune system....

The Healing Crisis
Some people experience resistance and negativity welling up from inside, this often coming from the unconscious pit of the being, containing the darkness of accumulated, suppressed issues and energies (exorcism work is needed when this come from external influences). When this happens, do not give up on the healing work, in fact, this is the most important time to harness your intentions to do even more. Sometimes it is at the very pinnacle of a major breakthrough that the most negative stuff manifests and attempts to stop your healing. In metaphysical terms, this stage has been called "The Dark Night of the Soul" or in modern medical terms, "The Healing Crisis".
The healing "crisis" is a totally normal process of the physical and spiritual immune system, which occurs in a healthy body/being. Your immune system is your inner army made up of energy and light consciousness. It is designed to fight off any invaders to your space, on any level (including the energetic and spiritual, not just the physical!). When you are utilizing your inner army or immune system, there occurs an actual battle within your being, a little "Armageddon" if you will. As most people are more aware of and exist from their peripheral, worldly, outer self, they are not aware of this inner battle, except when their physical (and sometimes emotional or mental) bodies are dramatically affected, then this healing process is judged and labeled as an inconvenience (or worse) which takes them away from their every day "practical" functions...most people would then just "pop a pill" (or whatever...).
Over time, any unresolved conflicts, issues, energies,...that are not cleared or healed, are suppressed deeper and deeper into your being...to accumulate more and more dust (negativity/darkness), to eventually be even more stubbornly lodged within the matrix of your energy-cellular field, the chakras, or even deeper within your central core. If this goes on for any length of time, this will make you really ill, deathly ill, spiritually ill. The being can only hold so much stuff, before it is so overwhelmed, it cannot take any more (this is why people eventually die). People ask me, why do they need so much healing? Well, one must consider that this process of suppression has been going on for not just a few years, but lifetimes. This can become an insurmountable, enormous obstacle on your lives' path, one which can't be ignored forever.
The intelligent and wise idea is not to initially suppress (with drugs or other distractions) any personal problems, negativity, or disease, or failing this.. hoping that by ignoring the situation it/they will just go away.... one must be proactive and reach out for help.
Granted, this healing process is sometimes uncomfortable (as stuff is being released through your outer bodies and consciousness) but contrary to what you may have been taught, you will feel so much better afterwards..."the truth shall set you free" as they say. (I recently read a bumper sticker that put it even more succinctly...it said "The truth shall set you free, but not before really pissing you off !"). This leads us into the topic of "Buttons".

Buttons
There are areas in your psyche that are like irritating sore spots or buttons. If someone pushes just one, you are all over them, huffing and puffing "Oh, you hurt my feelings...I don't like that...I hate that......that's bad...you disappointed me...you are wrong,...". I hope you get the picture. Someone can say even the most innocent of things, and there go those reacting patterns. You can blame it on that extra pot of coffee you drank, your terrible childhood, or on the person who brought it to your attention and pressed those hidden buttons. If you are not approaching these experiences as opportunities for self awareness and growth, you will be in resistance and receive them as threats.

As you follow "The Path to Enlightenment" - or as I would call it "The Healing Way" - diving deeper into and beyond successive levels of "Energy Bodies" and their respective stuff (imagine an onion or a petrushka doll)... you must shed lifetimes full of accumulated baggage, peeling the hard outer shells that covers your being. When ones subconscious illusions thus start to melt away, the old patterns we held on to can no longer support us, and for a short while we may feel a little lost, disoriented and perhaps quite disillusioned. It may take some time for a being to reorient to this new self.... No one likes to throw their favorite shoes away and get a new pair, but one gets used to it and eventually comes to love their new shoes (soul and all) even more.
