In early July 1947, A UFO crash-landed, near Roswell New Mexico, USA. The crashed UFO was discovered by a local rancher, William Brazel, together with his son and daughter. The authorities were alerted and a quantity of wreckage was recovered by Major Jessie Marcel of the 509th bomb group at the army air force base in Roswell. Four alien bodies were also discovered.

An official press statement was released confirming that wreckage of a flying disk had been recovered. However the next day another press statement was released stating that the wreckage was nothing more than a weather balloon! The area around Roswell was sealed off for eight weeks, by the military, while the crashed UFO and four recovered alien bodies were taken away, to Wright Patterson air force base, located in Dayton, Ohio.
