30 March, 1997 / 6pm: When Bryn contacted me this morning I was thrilled. It has been quite some time since I have seen my friends. The synopsis she gave me about the case she was assigned sounded interesting, and so I agreed to accompany her. I was never informed that the man was an ungrateful, insufferable, pompous ass. Dispite the intriege of his probelm, I do not think I want to help him. Still, Bryn insists that she must continue, so for her sake, I will give them my oppinion on our consultation this evening.
2 April, 1997 / 8pm: I can not believe I became involved in this. It was suppoed to be a simple lecture trip, a week of sunlight, then back home. I never anticipated becoming a dart boart for his wit. I have been in this country for more than five years, but this commands no curtesy or respect at all. This man is the most obnoxious bastard I have ever met. I do not need to deal with this type of harassment. I want nothing more to do with this investigation.
3 April, 1997 / 10pm: I do not know how she talked me into this. Bryn has this irritating way of always getting you to do what she asks, no matter how you feel about the sniveling little jackass. It's rather telling that my American curses get so much more use than my Russian ever did. I do not even think in Russian anymore. Anyway, this David guy was not even given a proper examination. I called in a few favors at hospital an dgot him in for a series of tests. There was a swelling in his head pressing on his brain. That was what was causing the blindness. He needs surgery to release the pressure, but he should recover most if not all of his site. The personality adjustment I scheduled will be a more difficult procedure. My part in this investigation is over. Bryn made it up to me with dinner and I am getting on an airplane for home before she finds something else for me to work on. All in all, it was an eventful speech.
