Their was a scene at the beginning with Luke sitting in Ben's house building his new Lightsaber.

Luke is mentally contacted by Vader, once the link is broken Luke puts the Lightsaber into Artoo and the Droids leave
The largest scene is on Tatooine when the group is returning to thier ships after they escape from Jabba's sailbarge. The scene is of the group walking through a bad sandstorm, they see two dark shapes in the distance. They walk up to these shapes and we see that they are the Millenium Falcon and Luke's X-wing. They have a short conversaion wherein Han thanks everyone for rescuing him. They all get on thier ships and fly away. Due to all the sand in the simulated sandstorm it was decided that this scene wasn't clear enough and it was cut. It is now covered up by the scene of the two ships flying away from the planet and Han thanking Luke over the Comm system.
