I am the mother of two rambuncious boys ages 6 and 8 soon to be 7 and 9. They keep me on my toes:) It isn't always easy being on my own trying to support us but I do my best because they are worth it! My kids will always come first but I must work to support us so my career comes second. This doesn't always leave us a whole heck of a lot of time so when we have it we make the most of it!! From cleaning-arobics to craft hour we spend our time together making every second fun. You see, I think of it this way: These little boys are a gift from the Goddess and they are only little once! The dishes can wait an extra day. (or two) The greatest gift you can give your child is yourself and that means your undivided attention and unconditional love. Have fun exploring new things together--set aside even an hour each and every day to spend doing something they want to do--even if lego isn't your all time favorite thing and the smell of crayons makes you ill:) Explore the backyard! Investigate a spiders web!
See the world through the eyes of your child/children and awaken your younger self! It will help you to release the stress of the mundane world and open a whole new magickal realm of enchanting, imaginative explorations!

Now Santa might not be your fav person, and maybe you don't agree with his usage but in this pagan family Santa has taught my children not what it means to receive but what it means to give! "How?" you ask. It is simple really--Kris Kringle:) A man that went out of his way to make life nicer for those that needed it. And so, like Santa, at Yule we gather gifts; baby clothes, canned food, small toys and we distribute them to those that may not have such a wonderful home. We alternate, with the kids choosing where they will go this year, sometimes the Women's Shelter, sometimes the Children's Hospital etc. They get such joy from the surprised faces that it wouldn't be Yule if we didn't celebrate that way. Celebrate with your families! Create your own traditions and learn what love and kindness really mean. Children learn by example---give them a good one!

Check out the wonderful link to one of the best Pagan Parneting sites on the web!! I have put it with the rest of my fav links in Magickal Links. Happy surfing!
