Under the Equal House System, the circle of the zodiac is divided into twelve equal segments, consisting of the 12 houses. Each house is ruled by a zodiac sign. Starting with Aries, the first zodiac sign, the association with each zodiac sign continues chronologically throughout the 11 remaining houses.
